Corporate Culture

AHA! Moments

Déjà Vue:

"Our employees are disengaged and lack a sense of urgency."

Query:

Do you share business goals and define objectives for team success? Do you have an accountability framework for managers and staff?

Déjà Vue:

"We have dual personality leaders/managers who interact and behave differently with their superiors vis-a-vis their subordinates. Kiss up and kick down!"

Query:

Do all managers/employees truly embrace your company values? Do you have one set of defined values and behaviours to be lived by all employees, managers and executives?

Déjà Vue:

"We have too many employees that suck all the oxygen out of the room during meetings not allowing other talented employees a chance to speak and share potential game changing ideas and concepts."

Query:

Do you embrace an open and  inclusive team environment where all voices in the organization are free to express their ideas and feel heard?

Déjà Vue:

"Our new employee on-boarding practice typically looks like this: new employees are met by their very busy manager, shown their desk area, told to watch a few videos, read policies and setup their email. Sometimes the manager may have time to take the new employee for lunch, but not always.

Query:

What first impressions do you believe are left in the employees' mind about their new career choice after their first day and first week of work?

Déjà Vue:

"Our employee performance reviews are awkward, meaningless and primarily a means for managers to share annual merit increases."

Query:

When do you provide employees with honest feedback on their performance and goals achievement. How are employee career growth aspirations and managed?

Déjà Vue:

"Wish we had more employees with a growth mindset: open minded to new ideas and concepts.  Unyielding personalities, opinions and rigidity is crippling our growth."

Query:

Do you provide personal development, personality styles/self-awareness, ways of working together, leadership...training and coaching?
